There is one bad review for Dasherhead, but that dates from 2010 and none of the things picked out for criticism were relevant to our two visits in 2018 (3 nights in total on our way to and from the Outer Hebrides). This is a delightful old house so don’t expect the bland ensuite facilities of a characterless modern hotel. We found comfort, antique charm, fascinating family stories, TV in our room, water and glasses by the bed, the most delicious breakfast (with full Scottish of the highest quality, beautifully cooked, and free from grease) served in a dining room full of treasures and delights. Best of all, we got to meet Linda and Robin and enjoy their wit, warmth and true Scottish hospitality. They were Welcome Personified and we very much hope to see them again. Oh and they also welcomed our FOUR cocker spaniels with aplomb, even when we had to take them out for a comfort break in the wee hours. Thank you Linda and Robin, you were a big part of a memorable holiday.
